Colombian international returns to Europe with Serie A Femminile move<\/strong>

ACF Fiorentina have announced the signing of Colombian international forward Ivonne Chac\u00f3n<\/strong> from Chicago Stars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 28-year-old attacker has signed a contract with the Italian club until 30 June 2028<\/strong>, returning to European football after her latest spell in the NWSL.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From Colombia to Europe<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chac\u00f3n began her professional career in Colombia, where she represented Santa Fe<\/strong> before moving to Millonarios<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2022, she took the next major step in her career by moving to Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The forward spent time in Spain with Valencia<\/strong> and Levante<\/strong>, gaining valuable experience in one of Europe\u2019s established women\u2019s football environments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NWSL Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

After her time in Spain, Chac\u00f3n returned across the Atlantic to continue her career in the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She joined the NWSL<\/strong>, most recently representing Chicago Stars<\/strong> during the previous season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That experience added another different footballing environment to her career before Fiorentina came calling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Colombia International<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chac\u00f3n has represented the Colombia women\u2019s national team since 2022<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the highlights of her international career came in 2023, when she was part of Colombia\u2019s squad at the FIFA Women\u2019s World Cup<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
